1942 - U.S. Marines invade  Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands.

1928 – The shrinking Dollar – U.S. Treasury Dept. reduces the $1.00 bill by 1/3 its size. (No connection to the Great Depression .)

1876 – Mata Hari born in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. Shot as spy in France in 1917.

Rotary Boat Ride

Annual Rotary boat ride - Sunday, August 24. Boat leaves the South Dock at 6pm. $20.00 per person to board. A minimum of 50 persons is required to get the boat launched! Bring guests.

 

Rotary Fishing Expedition

Rotary Tailgate Football Game

Sept. 27th is the date for the tailgate game. Josh Brewer will coordinate the exchange students. Tom Enders is working on tickets & location. New Rochelle Rotary club wants to join us for this event.

 

District 7210 Conference

September 19,20, and 21 September

at the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa. Kerhonkson, NY

Celebrate the beginning of the 2003/2004 Rotary Year with District Governor Knut Johnson.

Effective Wednesday, April 2, 2003 Washingtonville/Blooming Grove Rotary Club will meet at the Riverside Grill Restaurant in Washingtonville.

Please make note - it is local Rotary Club where you can make up a Rotary Club meeting in the evening.
