Rotary Last Week, August 11th

Rick Segel, a Certified Speaking Professional (CPS) Consultant, and National Expert on the topics of retail, marketing, customer service, and downtown redevelopment gave an interesting

view of these topics. Rick is a seasoned retailer for 25 years and the author of seven books, including “How to Become a Preferred Vendor”, “Laugh & Get Rich” & “Retail Business Kit

For Dummies”. There’s no doubt that Rich had us all laughing at his great program!

Good News Bianci Rosa is back in the club after an extended furlough.

Other Good New Gus Fishburne’s retirement reception will be on Friday, Aug. 26th at 4pm in Herbert Hall. (Good luck, Gus)

Kind ‘a Sad News Don Jaroszewski announced that this is his last meeting. He’s leaving HSBC for a position elsewhere.

Phil Brillante’s News Phil alerted us to the importance of properly inflated tires on your vehicle, especially during the hot vacation season.

Newsie News We will be hosting the Exchange Students from England at the Central Michigan game on Saturday, October 8th.

The Holy Innocents Church thrift shop will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.

Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)

August 28th 6 pm – Gus Fishburne’s boat trip still lies just ahead. Don’t miss it!  Spread the word to other clubs!  The fee is $20.00 per. (Get there early.)

Also! Warwick Valley Club is presenting their ‘250’ Club. All proceeds to benefit the District Raise the Roof campaign in Granada. Dinner party Sept. 17, 6 – 11 pm
