Rotary Last Week, December 8, 2005

Dr. Phillip Arbolino, Supt., Highland Falls/Ft. Montgomerty Central School District, gave a revealing breakdown on his goals and objectives for the District. He is committed to the continuous recruitment of certified teachers with characteristic’s  & knowledge for becoming master teachers in the district. Very informative presentation!

The Santa Project!  “It’s here!” Today’s the day that club members will be contributing gifts, toys etc. to a mother & four children in the Orange County Safe Homes Project Wish List. We warmly welcome the Safe Homes rep. to this luncheon!

Dave Weyant again announced that the Salvation Army Bell Ringing will be on December 17th & 18th at the Key Food in Highland Fls. (Wear long John’s!)

Speakers Needed!  Once again, all members are asked to submit information on possible speakers and programs!  (See handout!) Please submit this ASAP to Dave Monroe.

Shirley Bonsell deserves many kudos for  her work in arranging today’s event.

Phil Brillante’s Safety News: – In his never-ending concern for our safety, Phil warned against the treacherous leaves along the roadways, especially Rt. 9W, which make for extremely slippery driving conditions.

Diana Cole: Diana still has a wish list for the District Katrina fund.


Gus Fishburne – Gus’s heading up a committee of past presidents for selection of new club officers.

Theatre Party:  Still in limbo but not for long!

The Holy Innocents Church thrift shop     will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.

Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)


Jerry Sheehan’s Pushcart - Jerry says:
