Last Weeks Program

Jim Beemer, Natural Resources Mgr., USMA, discussed the Bald Eagles in the Hudson Valley, especially in this location. Once nearly extinct, they’ve made a healthy comeback in the area, and Jim described their attributes. A great program and an excellent slide show. Thanks, Jim.


President Jerry summed up several business items: the Group Study Exchange, April 26; Meeting at Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel on March 24th, (1 day) ; May 12th, Blooming Grove / Washingtonville dinner dance; Dinner Theater May May 19th West Point (Ethel Merman); Also requests members to submit bio’s for inclusion in news items.

Phil Brillante reminded all to wear goggles, either at work or during leisure time to protect our eyes against injury. He displayed a pair of protective eye shields.


Update on What’s Doing ‘round Rotary ?

Let’s give a little prayer for Seth Hudgins & Fran Streck and their quick recovery. Also, great to see Diana Cole back.

Idea’s needed for the Dinner Theatre, which comes up in March.

End of February events – West Point – The chamber of Commerce will have ice carving events. There will also be a “poker” night at the Thayer Hotel.  A walking map of Highland Falls will also be distributed to visitors.                                                       

Cathy Kelly is Chairman of the Membership Committee.


Holy Innocents Thrift Shop will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm. 

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month.

Sacred Heart food pantry & thrift shop open 10am – 2pm.

(Money will supplement food donations.)
