1793 – The French & Indian War Ends.

The Seven Years War, a global conflict known in America as the French and Indian War, ends with the signing of the Treaty of Paris by France, Great Britain and Spain.


Rotary Last Week – February 3, 2005

Parlevous francais? – No, but we had a most

Interesting presentation of the French language based on the experience of Cadet Veney, who described his hands-on learning of the French language while visiting France.

Cadet Veney, introduced by Col. McPeak, was one of Col. “Woody Held’s continuing foreign language programs. Excellent! (Fr.)


Wed. Feb. 23 is the 100th anniversary of Rotary Intl. Please join us in the Thayer, as this moment will be celebrated worldwide! (Let Pres. Roy know if you can make it.)


Phil Brillante – Reminded all to check the color of their fluids. (Vehicle-wise, that is.) It means a lot in this weather! No freeze ups.


Winter’s Still Here! – Both the Episcopal & Holy Innocents thrift shops will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.  Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wed. of month.

(Have any worm clothing for the thrift shop?)                                                    


Dinner Theatre – “Crazy For You”. April 17th at 2 pm Theatre, then dinner in the ballroom. (5 pm?) $80.00 per. You’ll be crazy to miss this event!

Walden Rotary Club – Presenting “Echoes of Ireland” March 5, 2005 at 7:30 pm. It features “Dublin’s Traditional Irish Cabaret”.  Paramount Theatre, Middletown.
