Ginny Esposito, NYS School Boards Assn. discussed education & current challenges, fiscal as well as legalities, “the Helping Hands” group, and many other salient topics which she deals with. Ginny is President of the Pine Bush School Board. She is active in funding for Education, Lobbying, and meeting the financial requirements of the Community. She is also V.P. for the Orange County School Bd. Assn. Her husband is in the U.S. Army. They have two children.

President Jerry summed up several business items: the Group Study Exchange, April 26; Meeting at Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel on March 24th, (1 day); May 12th, Blooming Grove/Washingtonville dinner dance; Dinner Theater May 19th West Point (Ethel Merman); Also requests members to submit bio’s for inclusion in news items.

Phil Brillante addressed home fire extinguishers and the necessity of Knowing Where They Are! Hang them in readily accessible locations and insure that other in the home know where they are. Phil also said he will give a report on interact next week.


Update on What’s  Doing ‘round Rotary ?

Idea’s needed for the Dinner Theatre. The Date and time of this event WILL BE ANNOUNCED!

End of February events – West Point – The chamber of Commerce will have ice carving events. There will also be a “poker” night at the Thayer Hotel.  A walking map of Highland Falls will also be distributed to visitors.                                                       

Cathy Kelly is Chairman of the Membership Committee.


Holy Innocents Thrift Shop will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month.

Sacred Heart food pantry & Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm.

(Money will supplement food donations.)
