Last Week’s Program
The meeting was held in the Kimsey Athletic Center, a magnificent structure located on the southern end of Michie Stadium, with an equally magnificent view of the Stadium. Maj. Cubberly, who did an excellent job, gave the club a grand tour of the building with its gymnasium, pool and trophy exhibits. (It was interesting to learn that our own member, Ret. Col. Elliott “Gus” Fishburne was instrumental in the laying out of the trophy section. (Do we fine him $1.00?) A Great program enjoyed by all!
Phil Brillante’s Weekly Safety Message
Taking a bath or shower was Phil’s concern this week, not for the dirt & grime you are removing, but for the tub & shower enclosures made of GLASS! People have slipped and fallen into these glass surrounds, which have shattered, thereby causing serious injury to the user. Also, grab bars should be made of non-glass materials and should be firmly affixed to the tub or shower!
