Last Week’s Program

Tom Fogarty, Corporate Liaison/Programs for adult students, & Chris Nelson, Coordinator of West Point programs for Mt. St. Mary’s College.  Let it be said that this was a well-coordinated program! (Should we include accelerated?) As the speakers indicated, Mt. St. Mary College offers a number of programs in the Accelerated Program that combine On Line Learning equally with classroom instruction. The courses have proven both popular & successful. Review the great brochures that were distributed. (If photography is your shtik, note the excellent view of the Hudson River taken from Mt. St. Mary in Newburgh. The scene facing south depicts Bannerman’s Island Castle, and just beyond that West Point is visible. (Whatever turns you on.) Great speakers – great program - Great Learning Experience!

Chamber of Commerce – President Gerry attended first meeting. Things looking good!

Once again, the membership was informed that the new weather calenders are in and will be distributed shortly. They boldly display our club’s name as well as great pictures. They will sell for $7.00 per. Dave Weyant suggested that the club rent a table at the upcoming Fall Foliage Festival, Oct. 14 in Highland Falls, and sell them there.

New Roster: The new roster will be ready shortly!

Phil Brillante’s Safety Tip - Preparedness is the key word: Check your vehicle’s wipers; install winterized versions. Also, stock up on winter washer fluid and keep extra antifreeze available!
