Notable Historical Quote

O Friends, be men, so that none may feel

Ashamed to meet the eyes of  other men.

Think each one of his children and his wife,

His home, his parents, living yet or dead.

For them, the absent ones, I supplicate,

And bid you rally here, and scorn to fly.

Rotary Last Week

President Cathy Kelly  - Turned the podium over to Don Segaria, who in turn introduced Mr. Dan Hickey, a hotelier, who works with the communities. Don and Dan gave an interesting breakdown on the proposed park to be erected on the MacDonalds land being offered to the community for the youth and others in Highland Falls. He presented sketches outlining the proposed park, which will contain a basketball court, benches, etc.  They spoke to the Highland Falls Mayor about funding and approval. Proposed opening date is in the Spring of next year.
