Last Weeks Program

Nancy Proyect from the Orange County Citizens Foundation gave an informative description of the organization, which includes housing and the loss of it. It’s mission is to understand and recognize the interdependence od economic & environmental concerns and the impact on the Quality of Life in Orange County, and to act as a catalyst in focusing the public & private resources of the County on balanced planning & decision making. Good program.

Phil Brillante : Phil issued his safety warning which focused on the “Winter still to come!”

The weather’s been fine, but don’t get caught in an unguarded moment. Black ice can still threaten around the house on railings, steps, roadways etc. Be on guard. – Also, Phil was given an award for being a three-time award donor to the Paul Harris foundation. Be aware that this should have read “four time donor”.  The Club’s apology, Phil!

Update on What’s  Doing ‘round Rotary Well, lots!

The Christmas Lunch & Bell ringing have past; The Walk of Fame’ in Bronze has been cast; Adopt a senior is now current, and here’s a fact on Interact, the “Penny Wars” are stirring. (Bring loose change to the meetings where Phil Brillante will collect them.) Idea’s needed for the Dinner Theatre, which comes up in March, Also, thanks to Kent & Dave, great articles have appeared in the News. Good work, fellah’s!

Election’s will be coming up shortly.

Special Note: President Jerry Sheehan is still doggedly pursuing the program to collect funds for the families of troops killed in Iraq. This is a great and noble cause, and Jerry is to be complimented for his efforts.
